Agreed. Speaking as an Engineer who has worked on hardware between first manufacture and first sale, this is no big deal. Prototypes are expensive, and usually not pretty. And you just don’t let the folks in marketing (or the executives) touch your prototypes – you usually don’t have enough to use yourself, much less to loan out for a few days, and risk getting broken at the hands of photographers and the like who don’t take proper precautions in handling the boards. Ever tried to install a metric push-on knob on a U.S. split-shaft pot or vice versa? Perhaps you want to put an Ibanez Strat-style push-on knob on your beloved Fender U.S. Strat, but it won’t go on. The problem is that U.S. push-on knobs have 24 “fine knurled” teeth, while metric knobs have 18 “coarse knurled” teeth. The only thing you can do is fine tune the fit by squeezing the shafts together slightly or spreading them further apart. This works, but requires finesse. Don’t overdo it; otherwise one or both halves can break and you’ll have to replace the pot.

Advertising on radio is one of the cheapest ways to put a message out. The cost of creating a radio spot is affordable and can be very effective if the message is kept simple. Radio spots do not afford the time to be complicated, cute or tricky. They need to focus on benefits, not features; demonstrate value and encourage their audience to take an action. Attempting to pack in more than this within 30 seconds and still be effective is rarely possible.
And, like conventional threaded fasteners, friction-drilling screws can be removed and replaced for serviceability. There are no issues regarding thread tolerances, because the fastener creates and engages its own threads at standard pitches. But, unlike thread-cutting screws or drilling-and-tapping operations, friction-drilling screws do not create waste. No chips are generated during installation.

glue (epoxy) a bunch of nuts to a metal support then file down. once correct hight achieved use acetone to eat the epoxy and free the nuts. for best results add hardened steel rail on either side of the nuts (glue in place at same time as nuts). The rails should be the desired end thickness of the nuts.
