My last job in Karachi, before I made the move to Canada, was with Manhattan International Pakistan Ltd., as a Client Service Exec. • Depth adjustment (electronic models only) allows you to switch from detecting studs ¾-inch deep behind drywall to locating any number of objects up to 1½ inches beneath the surface. The ability to inspect further behind the surface is handy for detecting floor joists beneath additional surface coverings like wood, tile, or carpet, but you won’t want to run your electronic stud finder at this level all of the time. It noted that Wyeth, PILVA, and Bartlett have established a clear standard for conflict preemption: “when federal regulations prevent a manufacturer from altering its product without prior agency approval, design defect claims are preempted; when federal regulations allow a manufacturer to independently alter its product without such prior approval, design defect claims ordinarily are not preempted.” Accordingly, like the generic pharmaceutical manufacturers in PILVA and Bartlett, because Lycoming was not permitted to make changes to the type certificate without prior FAA approval, it would be impossible for Lycoming to independently implement the changes that plaintiff alleged state law required.

On the other hand, KTM was either braver or stupider, but they stuck with bad WP coil-spring forks. The WP-built 4CS fork was just a place-saver at KTM.
